Opening conference of the Teacher Training Workshop in Nancy 11-14 June 2024
Generative AI is a significant breakthrough in the field of artificial intelligence. It allows computer systems to create original content, including images, text, and music. Its applications are diverse, ranging from healthcare to artistic production, and it is particularly effective for learning and teaching tasks. There are numerous initiatives focused on this theme, which have prompted deep reflection on the function and nature of teaching. The presentation aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in order to address its implications for teaching. The discussion will also integrate ethical considerations, societal and environmental impacts associated with the proliferation of generative AI technologies.
