The focus was on the European Hydrogen Valleys project, specifically the Austrian Power and Gas initiative (WIVA P&G). Prof. Horst defined a hydrogen valley as an area where clean hydrogen is produced and used locally by households, local transport and industrial plants. The objectives are to contribute to national and European decarbonisation efforts and to pursue the goals set out in the European Green Deal.
